Terra
Terra
Terra is the underground world that arose from the buried remains of the earliest failed divine creations. In the oldest legends preserved in the Great Library, it is said that Terra was not formed as a conventional world, but as a hidden refuge born from survival, adaptation, and the slow reshaping of life beneath a dimension that was meant to be forgotten.
History
According to the myth, Tempo, the first creation of God, began by forming the earliest living beings. These first attempts at life were later rejected by the gods as aberrations, since they did not resemble either humans or God himself. They were animal-like in nature rather than humanoid, and were ultimately buried alive beneath an immense layer of stardust by Sekhmet in an attempt to erase them from existence.
However, they did not die. Instead, the buried beings began to carve out a vast hollow beneath the dimension and built their own civilization underground. Over time, they developed their own fauna, language, and social order, becoming an entire society sustained by necessity and survival. Through reproduction and adaptation, their lineages split into countless variants of divine beings that no longer represented the image of God, but instead became something entirely their own.
From that hidden civilization came the world now known as Terra. It is defined by its buried origin, its separation from the worlds above, and the many lifeforms that emerged from its long subterranean history. In the mythology of Forgottenland, Terra stands as the surviving legacy of what the gods once tried to erase.
Within the setting, Terra is remembered as both a world and a myth: an underground realm born from rejected divinity, shaped in darkness, and preserved through endurance across eons.
